Um dos meus temas preferidos de sempre, retirado de um dos meus disco preferidos, o imprescindível "Songs of Leonard Cohen". Apetece-me carregar este tema comigo e levá-lo para casa. Toda a letra é fabulosa mas tenho que destacar a minha parte preferida:

I showed my heart to the doctor: he said I just have to quit. 
Then he wrote himself a prescription, 
and your name was mentioned in it! 
Then he locked himself in a library shelf 
with the details of our honeymoon, 
and I hear from the nurse that he's gotten much worse 
and his practice is all in a ruin. 

I heard of a saint who had loved you, 
so I studied all night in his school. 
He taught that the duty of lovers 
is to tarnish the golden rule. 
And just when I was sure that his teachings were pure 
he drowned himself in the pool. 
His body is gone but back here on the lawn 
his spirit continues to drool. 

An Eskimo showed me a movie 
he'd recently taken of you: 
the poor man could hardly stop shivering, 
his lips and his fingers were blue.

O que se pode dizer mais deste "Senhor" para além de obrigado? Que a letra é fantástica? Que a música é um verdadeiro poema musical? Mas não digo, já sabem...

Leonard Cohen é dos músicos que mais aprecio... A sua suavidade contém uma beleza indiscritível. Esta faixa é retirada do seu primeiro disco e confesso que é uma das minhas preferidas.

Leonard Cohen: Dance Me To The End Of Love

Quem me conhece musicalmente, e não só, sabe o quanto eu aprecio Leonard Cohen. É muito difícil conciliar talento, humildade, simplicidade, genialidade, beleza, ... como ele consegue fazer.

Esta música diz-me muito por ser, muito provavelmente, a primeira música que conheci dele. Deveria ter uns 10 anos... O tempo passou, e a minha paixão ficou. O "la la, la la la la la la" continua a levar-me numa valsa que ainda não parou.

Eu gosto de viver a vida com intensidade e, assim, como todas as sensações, o "Love" deve ser vivido sem medo do seu final, sem medo de aumentar, sem medo...
